TUSCANY – ISLAND OF ELBA
A Micro Wedding in the countryside of the Island of Elba
There is a plot of land on the Island of Elba that fascinates with its beauty. It is not easy to describe the landscape that surrounds it: it is partly reminiscent of Tuscany with its rows of vineyards and expanses of olive trees, with its hay bales and its hills. Here, however, there is something extraordinary: the maritime pines bent by the wind and scented with saltiness. In this place I felt many emotions also thanks to the view that Podere I Sassi, as it is called, offers views of the sea and in particular over the Gulf of Portoferraio where the ancient fortified city built in 1548 by Cosimo I de’ Medici, once known as Cosmopoli, stands. The perfect setting for the organization of a small or large wedding, for the celebration of a Love that seeks simplicity and authenticity. Alice and Giacomo chose this place because they fell in love with it and here together with their children they wanted to say yes. The groom arrived riding a purebred English horse just before the arrival of bride, who brought with her a delightful bouquet of daisies and wildflowers. Even the setting up of the civil ceremony has favored fabrics and pampas to create a romantic setting, but with a green or natural chic style as I like to call it. A bucolic atmosphere in which, in addition to a few guests, the horse Matematico also took part. After the civil ceremony accompanied by the sound of a violin, the newlyweds and guests celebrated at Ristoro Montefabbrello with a dinner based on Km 0 products and wines from the company. It all ended with the traditional Cutting of the Cake in a romantic and family atmosphere warmed by the many candle lights. Alice and Giacomo’s was an intimate and green wedding, a micro wedding that excited and warmed everyone’s hearts.
